Bluelight services including Police, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance, health services and other emergency service organisations play a vital role in keeping our communities safe and well. These services typically operate across multiple sites and with highly specialised fleets, reliability is critical. Transitioning to low-carbon technologies has to be as seamless and efficient as possible, while keeping critical operations running smoothly.
At Joju, we have many years experience of working closely with Police, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance Services and NHS Trusts to support the adoption of renewable technologies, like this solar we’ve recently installed for Whittington NHS Trust in North London.
We’ve installed EV charge point infrastructure for services including Avon Fire and Rescue, the MET police, Surrey and Sussex Police, the Medicences and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, and many more.
We’ve helped bluelight organisations including South Yorkshire Police XXXXXX and NHS Trusts like Whittington, XXXXX, XXXXX and many more across the country go solar.
We’ve even installed solar on the Metropolitan Police Specialist Training Centre and we’ve installed the very first micro grid technology solution for a UK police force, including solar car ports, battery storage and EV charging infrastructure.
We’re highly experienced working on secure sites and totally understand the requirements of Bluelight organisations. You can find us on multiple procurement frameworks and we are focused on delivering on time, on budget, and always with health and safety as the cornerstone of our service.
Our Operations and Maintenance team also makes certain that your installations perform at their best throughout the years, to deliver reliability that’s imperative.
Financial savings and reduced energy bills are crucial, but renewable energy projects are about so much more: reducing carbon emissions, improving health and wellbeing, inspiring people of all ages, knowledge-sharing in local communities, and creating local jobs.
Social value is built in to our projects from the get-go and we have considerable experience of helping to create lasting impact. Our ongoing work with South Yorkshire Police is testament to that and here we are supporting colleagues who are going above and beyond for sustainability in the service, as well as getting out in to schools to share with students how solar works, even on cloudy days.
Avon and Somerset Police has become the first UK police force to use innovative micro-grid technology to support the future electrificatoon of its fleet. We’ve been working with the team there to deliver a combination of solar carports, higher-capacity DC chargers, AC chargers, and Battery Energy Storage systems across tjree of their sites. Avon and Somerset police were particularly interested in this combination of technologies to ensure fleet resiliance and we are proud to help them achieve it.
