SunPower Maxeon Solar Panels

SunPower Maxeon Solar Panels offer a unique design that overcomes many of the reasons why conventional solar panels break or stop working. For this reason, this product is considered to be highly durable and reliable in performance over its lifetime, showing extremely low degradation results in long-term field tests.

The latest generation of this product, the 23% efficient SunPower Maxeon 3, is the first 400W home solar panel, enabling a solar PV system using these panels to generate up to 35% more energy from the same space over the first 25 years of the installation, when compared with conventional solar panels. The greater efficiency of these panels can mean significantly larger savings on energy bills than you would get with most other solar panel manufacturers.

Due to their efficiency ratings and build quality, these panels do have a higher up-front cost than conventional solar panels. However, in some settings, this is more than offset over time by the increased electricity that these panels can generate. SunPower Performance Solar Panels

SunPower Performance solar panels were launched in 2015 and are designed to offer a mid-range product with a price point between the Maxeon solar panels and conventional panels. They have an efficiency of around 19% (compared to 16% for a conventional module).

Offering a good balance of efficiency and value for money, along with great aesthetics, SunPower Performance solar panels use innovative shingle cell technology, which helps to maximise the durability of these panels; they bend where cells from other panels can sometimes break. This helps to extend the life of every panel, hence the 25-year warranty that SunPower are able to offer on this product.

SunPower Performance solar panels can deliver up to 8% more energy over the first 25 years of the installation, compared to many conventional solar panels, using the same position and amount of space.
